Ritual Synbiotic Review 2024: A Total Gut-Check

Committing to better health is an entire lifestyle approach that I’ve been working on for a while. I’ve switched from my regular Italian roast to decaf coffee and even joined a local hiking club in my super crunchy Woodstock neighborhood. Now, though? I’m doubling down on my extra curricular probiotics without solely relying on my love of yogurt and kimchi. That’s why I decided to try these magic-looking pills and then write this Ritual Synbiotic review.

What is Ritual Synbiotic+?

These futuristic Synbiotic+ capsules are filled with gut-healthy probiotics, prebiotics and even postbiotics. It’s the whole gut polymath rolled into one easy-to-swallow pill. is a gut health polymath. Each capsule contains prebiotics, probiotics, and a postbiotic, all rolled into one.

That means each pill promises gut and digestive support as well as enhanced immune function. Prebiotics help create a proper home for germ and disease-busting probiotics to live. The included postbiotics help kick butyrate into action—the source of energy your gut cells need so desperately. If you’re wondering which probiotic strains are included, its LGG and BB-12. Research says LGG, or the lacto family of prebiotics, totally kicks ass against bloating, constipation and stomach troubles.

More specifically, synbiotics are a combination of probiotics and prebiotics, which are non-digestible carbohydrates that feed the probiotics and help them to thrive. So, a synbiotic can be beneficial for gut health. Of course, it’s important to consult with a healthcare professional before taking any new supplement, especially if you have any health conditions or are taking any medications.

There are several strains of probiotics that have been found to be effective in reducing bloating and other symptoms of digestive discomfort. Some of these include (and can be found in Ritual):

  • Lactobacillus acidophilus: This is a common probiotic strain that helps to balance the levels of good bacteria in the gut.

  • Bifidobacterium bifidum: This probiotic strain helps to break down food and absorb nutrients, which can reduce bloating.

  • Lactobacillus rhamnosus: This probiotic strain is known to help reduce gas and bloating.

  • Lactobacillus plantarum: This probiotic strain can help to reduce bloating and improve overall gut health.

How to take Ritual Synbiotic

One capsule per day is the recommended dosage of Ritual Synbiotic, and it’s suggested for adults only. I found that taking it at night worked best for regulating digestive woes, but I’ll get to that in a minute.

My Ritual Synbiotic review

I have no idea how they do it, but Ritual Synbiotic+ capsules have a lightly minty, refreshing flavor that beats out all sorts of other pills I’ve over the years. Seriously, if we’re going on flavor alone—these are a 10/10.

It did take me about four full days of taking Ritual Synbiotic+ to notice a major difference in how I felt, though. That means committing to your own Ritual Synbiotic review for at least a week is necessary if you’re starting it.

But by the end of the first week my stomach felt less distended and I was going to the bathroom more regularly. Every morning like clockwork, actually. Better yet, I wasn’t relying on giant cups of coffee or caffeine gummies to make that magic happen.

The most unexpected side effect and benefit was when I combined one Ritual pill with a single dose of Wooden Spoon Herbs Magic Magnesium every day. Somehow that combo promised me long-lasting, restful sleep that I don’t remember having since I was a kid. I wasn’t entirely sure that it was the combo doing it until I skipped a few days of each.

Taking just Ritual Synbiotic made my digestive system flow far better, but didn’t enhance my sleep. Taking the magnesium supplement each day on it’s own helped me feel calmer, but didn’t necessarily lull me to sleep. The two of them together? Shoot. Wham, bam, going to sleep ma’am. Amazing—and it for no other reason, I’ll keep taking Ritual till the end of time.

Pros:

  • Easy-to-swallow, smooth capsule

  • Light minty flavor

  • Several strains of probiotics, prebiotics and postbiotics designed to improve digestion and curb woes

  • Only one capsule needed each day

  • Can be taken on an empty stomach or with food

  • Improved sleep (at least for me)

Cons:

  • Somewhat expensive (about $58)

  • They last longer when stored in the fridge, so make some shelf space

Final verdict: 9/10 and will totally continue to buy
